RARE EARTH MAGNETIC FLAP SEALING SYSTEM:
Duraflex patio pet doors feature an innovative, new sealing system that stays air-tight and free of drafts even in winds of up to 50 mph. Yet, the flap may still be opened easily by any dog or cat. These ingenious, new pet doors use our proprietary rare earth, point magnet sealing system. Strong, rare earth, disk magnets are spaced along the entire periphery of the flap behind a soft neoprene ribbon seal. Mating magnets are placed in floating seals within the door frame to perfectly mate with the flap locking out the slightest whisp of air. Additionally, the mating magnets are mounted behind industrial quality felt providing a rubber to felt seal for a smooth and quiet closure. The 100% draft free seal has been proven to withstand winds up to 50 mph. How can the flap be so securely sealed yet so easy for a pet to open? Other pet doors use just a few magnets to keep the flap closed. This often allows air to leak through gaps even in light winds. Duraflex pet doors use disk magnets along the entire periphery of the flap providing up to 10 times more sealing force. Wind blowing against the flap must work against all magnets all magnets at once. However, the use of point magnets allow your pet to open the flap one magnet pair at a time. The nose first approach of a pet need only to break the seal of the first pair to begin opening the flap, then the magnets are separated one pair at a time as your pet moves through the opening allowing a minimum of pet generated force to open the flap. Ingenious!

ENERGY EFFICIENT LOW-E GLASS AND HEAVY GAUGE ALUMINUM FRAME:
Duraflex patio doors are constructed with a heavy duty, 14 gauge aluminum frame. The frame members are also a full 7/8’ thick for a frame that is FIVE TIMES STRONGER than most competing patio doors. The glass is high quality, dual pane tempered and certified Low-E for the best energy efficiency. Each door comes with easy to apply weather stripping and draft seals to keep the patio frame just as draft free as the flap. The frame comes in two easily assembled pieces, making the unit more easy to remove from its shipping box and easier to handle during assembly.


3 SECURITY LOCKS:
Duraflex patio panels feature High Tech Pet’s universal lock that easily mates to most patio doors. There is also an additional foot lock that for added security when necessary. And, each door comes with a heavy duty security lock-out panel that secures your pet door when you’re away.
