RARE EARTH MAGNETIC FLAP SEALING SYSTEM:
Duraflex patio doors feature the ingenious, new duraflex flap that remains air-tight and draft free even in winds of up to 50 mph while still being easy to open for any dog or cat. Only Duraflex pet door use our innovative rare earth, point magnet sealing system. Strong point magnets are spaced along the entire periphery of the flap behind a soft neoprene ribbon seal. Mating magnets are placed in floating seals within the door frame to perfectly mate with the flap. The mating magnets are placed behind industrial felt. This unique, rubber to felt, seal provides a strong, smooth and quiet closure while providing a 100% air tight seal that withstands winds up to 50 mph while still being easily opened by your pet. How is this possible? Wind blowing against the flap must work against all magnets to open it requiring a great deal of force. However, the nose first approach of a pet need only to break the seal of two magnet pairs to begin opening the flap, then the magnets are separated one pair at a time as your pet moves through the opening allowing a minimum of pet generated force to open the flap.

HEAVY DUTY ALUMINUM FRAME & DOUBLE PANE, LOW-E GLASS:
Duraflex patio doors feature all aluminum frame construction using heaver, 14 gauge aluminum with rails that are 75% thicker than most competing patio door frames resulting in a frame FIVE TIMES STRONGER! We use only double pane, tempered Low-E glass for the best energy efficiency. Each door comes with a complete set of weather stripping and draft stopper seals making the patio frame just as air tight as the amazing duraflex flap. The heavy duty frame comes in two easily assembled pieces making it easy to remove from its shipping box and easier to handle during assembly.


UNIVERSAL LOCK:
Duraflex patio panels feature High Tech Pet’s universal lock that easily mates to most patio doors. There is also an additional foot lock that for added security when necessary. Each door comes with a heavy duty security lock-out panel that secures your pet door when you’re away.
