HERE’S WHAT OUR ENGINEERS DO IN THEIR SPARE TIME

No online petstore would be complete with out a bunch of clever, useful, if not a bit unusual, odds and ends. Of course, there’s a story behind each item. Our company’s first product was the, now famous, electronic flea collar, which we invented nearly twenty years ago. Aside from being a very effective flea repeller, it occurred to us one day that, for what it’s worth, we had developed the most powerful miniature ultrasonic generator on Earth. It turned out to be worth a lot. Used as a tiny signaling device, it allowed us to create the first pet operated products, our SOUND BARRIER, YARD BARRIER and POWER PET fully automatic doors. And it still does a pretty good job on fleas.

Following our curiosity, or more accurately our investment, in ultrasound, we began investigating it as a behavioral training tool. We found, to our surprise, that audible, not ultrasonic, tones work best to accelerate pet training and that, much like Pavlov and the first singing Pepsi commercial, sound can be used to enhance deep behavioral memory. That led to the invention of the PRO TRAINER PLUS, a simple, inexpensive product employing an extremely effective training method, our proprietary VOICE/TONE system. This in turn led to the development of our no so inexpensive VOICE COMMAND line of advanced sport dog trainers.

We must have asked someone to come up with a bright idea, because we somehow we developed the first pet collar to exploit the beautiful phosphorescent glow of an electro-luminescent light source, Our LIGHTNING BUG pest repeller uses EL technology to light the night while repelling those pesky creeping, flying and buzzing critters we can all do without. And while we were at it, we decided to develop the most powerful ultrasonic home repeller made, our SUPER PEST REPELLER. (The name kind of says it all).
